AODA Clinician • Part-Time: Wausau, WI

Responsible for substance abuse counseling of moderate/high risk offenders on supervision with the Department of Corrections in a clinical setting. Collaboration, consultation, and coordination between a multi-disciplinary team are essential to achieving objectives under the direction of the Area Supervisor and Clinic Director. Referred clients may have co-occurring disorders in which counseling services determined by assessment and screening. Documentation will be maintained and recorded during all stages of service: intake, AODA assessments, treatment plans, routine plan reviews, session and progress notes, and discharge/termination reports. Assessments will be performed with the use of approved instruments and curriculum. Following all HIPAA standards and a clean, professional work environment must be maintained.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. 2 years experience working in a clinical environment.
  2. 2 years experience working with AODA/correctional clients from diverse backgrounds.
  3. Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information.
  4. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services, or related field.
  5. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet.

Apartment Monitor • Part-Time: La Crosse, WI

This is a part-time direct service position in the Transitional Living Program (TLP). The person in this position, along with other monitors and the Case Manager, will provide monitoring checks on the supervised apartment and clients residing there. Clients (tenants), will be offenders of varying risk/need on supervision with the Department of Corrections. The hours of work associated with this position will be scheduled on a flexible and random basis for purposes of security and surveillance. The person in this position will be required to perform duties on holidays and weekends. The Case Manager provides day to day direction, program coordination and assignment of duties to the Apartment Monitors. The Apartment Monitor will communicate with DOC personnel regarding case information as needed. Apartment Monitors are required to immediately report any known or possible client violations and to immediately report any safety or security problems involving the housing unit. Behavioral Assistants • Part-Time: New London, WI

The person in this position will provide direct supervision and behavioral guidance to intellectually disabled clients who have a history of sexually violent behavior, which includes transportation, escort, and assistance with daily living skills to the ID-SOT client. Each ID-SOT client will be assigned a Behavioral Assistant that will provide one on one, line-of-sight supervision at all times. Behavioral Assistants will rotate in pairs through 8 hour shifts to provide 24/7/365 assistance and supervision to ID-SOT clients. Duties include: monitoring client attitude, appearance, and behavior; completing paperwork and reports, documenting and reporting violations, maintaining communication with staff and supervisors, handling emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner, transporting client to approved locations/activities with own vehicle, providing informal guidance to clients on daily activities and independent living, and physically restrain client if required in emergency situations. There will be at least two trained staff on site at any time; the ability to work in an appropriately positive and supportive way with both client and staff is vital. The person in this position is required to have internet access to email and the use of an agency cell phone at all time when performing ID-SOT services. Behavioral Assistants will be required to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries adhering to the strict fraternization policy, and maintain confidentiality of all client and agency related information.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Ability to apply verbal de-escalation skills with clients. Training will be provided by ACS.
  2. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with client, following strict policy on fraternization.

The person in this position will provide supportive services to the Wood County Drug Court Program. Treatment Specialist - Sex Offender Treatment Program • Part-Time: Green Bay, WI

The person in this position serves as a back-up Treatment Specialist and is responsible for sex offender counseling and group facilitation duties for the Division of Community Corrections (DCC) Sex Offender Treatment Services. This person is responsible for maintaining his/her appropriate credentials and appropriate clinical supervision. The person in this position collaborates with the DCC for client referrals in providing group services and discharge recommendations. The person in the position must maintain strict confidentiality of all agency, office and client related information. Duties include: using "Motivational Interviewing" techniques, observation skills, and experience with information and referral sources in the community to build rapport with clients, completing necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, complete assessments and treatment plans, ensure clients complete necessary paperwork, prepare and maintain client files, and maintain communication with agents regarding client attendance.

*including at least four hours training in each of the following: 1. Treatment of cognitive distortions, thinking errors, and criminal thinking, 2. Risk assessment of sex offenders, 3. Relapse Prevention, 4. Group facilitation, 5. Sex offender treatment including group, individual, and behavioral therapy, 6. Human sexuality including etiology of sexual deviancy, 7. Treatment issues specific to target population(s) to be served by the program, 8. Family systems, 9. Specialized monitoring/assessment tools such as polygraph, PCL-R, penile plethysmograph, ABEL, pharmacological treatment, etc.

**including the following areas: 1. Conducting sex offender assessments/evaluations including risk assessments using current instruments and methodologies, 2. Providing individual and group sex offender treatment, 3. Working with involuntary clients, 4. Working with offender population, 5. Working with culturally diverse client populations, 6. Providing cognitive/behavioral based programming, 7. Providing relapse prevention programming, 8. Case management including treatment planning, general knowledge of social services and appropriate referrals, record keeping, mandatory reporting requirements, confidentiality rules and regulations as they apply to the specific population, and knowledge of professional ethical standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Ability to enforce rules, set discipline, and make good judgments in routine and emergency situations.
  2. Ability to relate to a diverse population and to be ethnically and culturally sensitive.
  3. Ability to work well with limited direct supervision.
  4. Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
  5. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills.
  7. Licensed as a Social Worker (SW, LCSW, APSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  8. Minimum two (2) years experience providing sex offender treatment.**
  9. Minimum two (2) years facilitating cognitive based programming to offenders.
  10. Sixty (60) or more hours training in sex offender treatment.*
Wage: $27.48 per hour
Hours per Week: Part-time: hours will vary.
Shift/Work days: 1st with some early evenings
